The Guidefather...

The Guidefather knows where the trout are...

Success!  I am SO spoiled.  The Old Hippie rigs me up, baits my hooks, cleans the fish...

Another one...

And another....  sweet!

I could do this every weekend...

It is a very satisfying thought knowing that guides get paid hundreds of dollars a day, and I have my very own... free of charge. I'm a very happy girl!

He cooks them, too....  What more could I ask for?

A shrine in honor of the almighty trout....

Although from this angle it looks like a shrine to something else altogether.....

Peace, love, happiness.... and trout fishing.

Yum--I'm not a fisherwoman because my when my grandmother was teaching me...when I was young...she told me I had to take the fish off the hook myself. I have had nothing to do with it since. But I do get a decent tan while watching my husband fish. It is a very relaxing sport.

Great looking trout, Chris, and must have been delicious cooked on the grill. There's nothing like catching it and then cooking it.
I'm catching up on blog reading after working outdoors most of this week. The cabin sounds like heaven and how nice that there's a lake for fishing.
I had never seen lions mane mushrooms until reading your post. Not sure if they grow in the wild on the VA eastern shore. Anything that tastes like lobster (at less cost) is a very good thing!

Wow, those are some gorgeous looking fish. I'm sure they fried up good!

That looks like the epitome of peace and relaxation.
