I had a McDonald's double cheeseburger for lunch. Epic fail for the Earth Mother. That is quite a guilty pleasure for me considering that I detest fast food, the fast food industry, and industrial farms, but there I was in the drive through, giving my order to a little speaker box. So much guilt over a $1.00 purchase. No doubt I will beat myself up about this for the rest of the day, but life goes on....
Then I started thinking about all of my other guilty pleasures...
Oprah
(Who doesn't love a barbed penis?)
South Park
(and Victorian Industrial music in general. Boy, this chick has got some rage.)
Watching bootleg movies on ch131.com during my lunch break...
Boy George and Culture Club...
Taking I-420 to an outdoor concert...
Drag Queens...
Stealing Gideon Bibles...
The movie Boogie Nights...
(Dirk Diggler and Reed Rothchild, oh my!)
Rock Star by Nickelback
Dirty Dancing, Footloose, Top Gun and other sundry 80's movies...
and the ultimate guilty pleasure: ABBA
What are YOUR guilty pleasures???
Peace, love, and happiness,
Earth Mother

OOOh, I love ABBA and John Denver too. I guess my worst guilty pleassure is/was watching what my husband calls "brain rot" - VH1's Rock of Love, and all the Flavor Flav's dating shows and whatever ugly children they produced - yes, including, "I Love New York". I feel guilty just writing about it.
Hi Joane!
I love John Denver, too!
Peace,
Chris.............
I just have to draw the line at Abba. I've only so many brain cells left. I only barely survived the last time I heard John Denver sing "Country Roads" because I couldn't find a rope.
As for fast food, I had a bean burrito at taco bell last month. All that fast food stuff has habit forming drugs in it I tell you. (geezer waves cane in the air with one hand and points to the heavens with the other)
I used to have a barbed penis but it broke off in an affair with a rock pile.
Thanks for the laughs now pass the fries.
LOL! What is wrong with Boy George and Culture club?!??! :D
And I enjoy John Denver too....not as much as husband...but I will listen.
My favorite guilty pleasure...I cannot believe I am admitting this in public....crunchy Cheetos. I know they are 100% chemicals....but sometimes I just gotta have them :D
That was fun, thanks for sharing.
Cheers!
I forgot about "Bell, Book and Candle"! I just bought it too. It was on sale at Safeway for $7.99 believe it or not!
Oh where do I begin.....
John Denver, (I grew up in the Rockies) Culture Club, ABBA, South Park (used to live there!) Crunchy Cheetos - oh yes! I can relate to all of them.
But my real guilty pleasure is Funyuns, Dove Dark Chocolate, & Pepsi. But, I've been trying real hard to be good & haven't had two of three for quite some time. Chocolate is one of the major food groups, soooooooo...... it doesn't really count as a guilty pleasure! :0)
I thought of another guilty pleasure - blogging at work!
