Backpacking...

I thought I would show you some more of the photos from our backpacking trip.

Loaded and ready to go.  The moldy bread sticking out of my pack is for the critters.

Hopefully not this kind of critter.

My first impulse was to tote this groovy rock home, but I decided to leave it for others to enjoy.

We camped in this cave.  I will do a post with photos of all the caves soon. 

The view from our tent at dawn...  Yes, we tote in a perk coffee pot.  It is well worth the extra weight!

Our backpacking stove.  I think this one is called the Pocket Rocket.

It gets VERY hot...

The camera wouldn't focus....  I'm regularly leaving not-so-subtle hints that I would really like a new one for Yule.

We built the fire right in the cave because there was a vent hole above.  It is not anywhere near being cold enough to need a fire, but you gotta have a campfire!

Home sweet home....

 The Old Hippie and I should really communicate more when packing.  How much toothpaste do two people need for an overnight hiking trip?
